Thank you for your intervention and correction and I will try to adhere more closely to the format. Please feel free to join into the debate as it it intended only to stir thought and hopefully input from others.
I had previously stated that;
Free will existed even before sin existed in man.
Referencing Gen 2:16, 17
Ge:2:16: And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: Ge:2:17: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
This would indicate a persons ability to choose to obey God or to disobey as determined by their choice. This freedom of choice was availible prior to the first recorded sin found in Gen 3:6 Ge:3:6: And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
As for my closing argument in the previous post, I was posing a question I would like others to address; Some believe that once a person makes that turn from sin and receives salvation, they can never lose it. But if free will exist in man before salvation, is it surrendered after?
